Halo is a military science-fiction TV series, based on the Halo video game franchise by Microsoft Studios and 343 Industries. The Halo season 1 follows Master Chief (Pablo Schreiber) as he attempts to prevent the activation of an all-powerful Forerunner artifact known as “the Composer”. This plot synopsis also contains spoilers.

About Halo:

Halo first premiered on the Xbox video game console back in 2001. It has since developed into a franchise consisting of multiple books, games (including competitive multiplayer online games) as well as graphic novels. The plot of Halo season one begins with Master Chief waking up aboard UNSC spaceship Forward Unto Dawn after being asleep for four years while drifting in space. He and Cortana (Jen Taylor) discover that the ship is rapidly approaching an unidentified object which turns out to be a Forerunner planet-like construct known as “Requiem”.

The release date for the Halo has not been announced yet, but it is expected to be on screens in 2022.

Halo season one is being produced by kyle Killen and Steven Kane. The series is directed by Otto Bathurst.

Filming:

Filming for Halo season one began in January 2019 and will go on until November 2021. The series has been shot using motion capture technology.

Halo season one is estimated to bring in $54,000,000 – $90 million (USD) per episode. The plot for the Halo series is very unique and interesting, thus it should be successful in accumulating revenue via viewership.

Plot for Halo season 1:

The plot for Halo takes place in the future after an interstellar war with humanity and extraterrestrial beings called “Bings”. The plot of season one reveals that Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 is put to test when his ship crashes on a planet filled with Bings who had gone extinct, setting off an event that will either lead to a new life or his death. The genre is science fiction, military, and action. The plot revolves around Master Chief Petty Officer John-117 fighting to survive against Bings on an unknown planet with no one else but him for company.

The plot for Halo season one focuses on the Master Chief, who wakes up after being in cryo sleep for four years to find that his AI companion Cortana has gone rampant and is now acting much more hostile than before. He discovers that they are aboard a large ONI research vessel named UNSC Forward Unto Dawn, along with a contingent of Marines. They are being pursued by the Didact’s flagship. It is looking to obtain the ship’s Forerunner artifacts and also captures Cortana for himself since she holds all knowledge in her memory banks.

Ratings:

On the review aggregator website, Metacritic, Halos season one has a score of 60 out of 100 from 12 critics. In terms of audience reception on Rotten Tomatoes, Halo’s first season is on a 24% approval rating with an average rating of three stars based on five reviews. Halo season one is rated PG-13 for Sci-Fi Action Violence, Adult Language.

Expectations:

The series is expected to be a huge success. It already has an enormous fan base from the video game franchise. People are excited for its release on Paramount+.
