House of the Dragon writer Sara teases the second season “Blood and Cheese” episode and promises to be a harsh and colorful revenge story. “The characters in this episode will be [writing] and performing their music,” her blog post says. We have the amazing singer and actress Tania Rodrigues who will be playing a character called Becca Alexandra, who is struggling to deal with the switch from her old life to her new one and will sing a song called ‘I Don’t Know’. This will be one of the most unique and different episodes of season two.” The episode’s writer, Matt Smith has also talked about Becca, “…and two other songs in particular feature a lead character called Becca Alexandra. She’s a pop-rock singer turned vampire who wrote two songs herself, ‘The Best Thing In The World’ and ‘I Don’t Know’. They’re both great songs.”

The series is inspired by House of the Dragon, a series of fantasy novels written by author George R.R. Martin as a continuation to his A Song of Ice and Fire book series. Martin has not yet confirmed whether or not he will be adapting the rest of his books, though he has hinted that the rest of his A Song Of Ice and Fire series (which is also becoming a TV show on HBO) will be adapted one day, it is unclear whether or not this would count as a direct adaptation.
