Excepted story of the movie
Jones’ adventures take place in the late 1960s and early 1970s when he was involved in the Space Race. This is a time when the world is divided between two superpowers: “East” and “West”. The USSR seems to have a clear advantage over the democratic US. The USSR contacts with the ancient enemy of man, the “Menschenfresser” (People-Eater), Hitler’s Nazis. Jones is uncomfortable with the U.S. government hiring former Nazis to help beat the Soviets in the space race. A man who is part of NASA wishes to make the world a better place as he sees fit. He is an ex-Nazi and the top dog at NASA now. He is funding a secret operation to uncover the power of an ancient artifact. What they don’t know when they find it, is that Hitler’s Nazis are also on the hunt for it! This relic is a “totem” with the power to destroy all of civilization.
