John Wick Chapter 4 is an upcoming neo-noir action thriller film directed by Chad Stahelski and written by Shay & Michael Finch. The film stars Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Halle Berry, Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, and Lance Reddick. The new poster for John Wick Chapter 4 reveals a key plot detail of the film; John Wick’s return to the world of contract killing after a self-imposed exile following his wife’s death in John Wick Chapter 2. The tagline “He has excommunicated” hints at the film’s storyline that sees Wick going back into the business of assassination, this time to kill off Calvin (played by Common) who runs the Continental Hotel that caters exclusively to assassins.
This film will be released on 24 March 2023. The first two chapters are set in the present day but Chapter 3 is a prequel that’s set in the 70s and Chapter 4 will be set 10 years after Chapter 2. Keanu Reeves recently hinted that there could be a John Wick spin-off movie inspired by the comic book film “The Continental” during an interview with MTV News. The singer/songwriter Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson was announced as a cast member for Chapter 4 but he later revealed on Instagram that he never actually shot any scenes for the film.
With the price on his head increasing, renowned hitman John Wick takes his fight against the High Table as he seeks out the most energetic players in the underworld, from NY to Berlin (via Paris & Japan). The line among fans is that Chapter 3 seems like a prequel leading up to the events of Chapter 2 and Chapter 4 is the finale as John wraps things up for good.
We can expect a lot of film critics to compare Chapter 4 to James Bond and Mission: Impossible film. The film has a stellar cast and all elements come together for a very exciting movie experience. The John Wick Chapter 4 poster is suggestive of the film’s present-day setting and gives us our second full look at the Continental Hotel.
The favorite characters of Chad Stahelski are The High Table and John Wick, he thinks the world is built around John and the High Table. The character of The High Table is complex, he is intelligent and ruthless. He’s a really scary dude. John Wick on the other hand is a lovable character, he has a history with the High Table but he also does very bad things for what he believes in.
The weapons are available in a hotel that exclusively caters to assassins who are hiding from assassins from all over the world. These people who stay there have to provide their weapons and often leave their guns behind when they leave – which allows guests to check out some impressive hardware and firepower from the hotel’s arsenal.
The themes explored in this film are revenge, sacrifice, and what it means to be human. The characters have to fight for their humanity as well as the humanity of others and put their lives on the line. Keanu Reeves talks about reuniting with Laurence Fishburne, who played Morpheus in “The Matrix.” He describes working with Fishburne as “amazing” because he’s “very patient” and also because they go back so far. They’ve been working together since they were young kids and it’s cool to see where they started and where they are now.
The reviewers are saying that this is the fan-favorite John Wick movie so far and the best one to date. The directors did such a good job of telling a story and the action sequences are some of their best work to date. Chapter 2 was more personal and emotional, but Chapter 4 is more impactful with the action sequences.
