The Leopard Skin series, created by author Douglas Preston and turned into a film by director David Fincher, is a fictional account of the harrowing events that took place during Thanksgiving. The first book, Leopard at Night, was released and is the first installment in this highly anticipated crime thriller series. If you love historical thrillers like Gone Girl or The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo then this powerful detective story will be right up your alley! Preston’s latest release introduces Carla Gugino who plays Sheriff Lynn Bowles. She is tasked with investigating a series of murders that were committed within her city in the late 1950s. The series of murders is believed to be one of the most horrifying crimes in U.S. history as they involved a handful of victims who were tortured, raped, and eventually killed. The victims of these “Leopard Skin Killings” were undercover FBI agents known as “The Black Widows” who supposedly had planned to expose the corruption that was happening within their government.

Lynn Bowles is obsessed with this case and has decided to search for answers by digging into the truth behind her father’s involvement with these Black Widows during his time working at Special Operations Group (SOG). She soon discovers that her father may not have been entirely honest and begins to question if he may have been a part of this evil scheme himself.

This series will be released on 17 Nov 2022. Also, the series has 2 other books in the series. Leopard Skin deals with a serial killer and all of the scenes were real but they were too gruesome so they had to be cut out of the film.  The scene was in which Douglas Preston’s FBI agent brother and his driver are being led through the underground bunker where the infamous crimes took place, and it shows them coming face-to-face with one of the killers.

The plot of the Leopard Skin series discussed: The murder and rape of nine people in a dark, dank house off a winding country road and the subsequent cover-up to the tragedy, which involved the FBI and Army Special Operations Group, is the first of many crimes that occurred in the late 1950s. What can we expect from the Leopard Skin series?

We can expect that the crime scene would be real, so that’s a big plus for this book. Carla Gugino looked amazing in the first trailer. The plot was a little different from the shape of the other crime series because it involved the FBI instead of the police, but I’m sure some people won’t mind it.

Who are the director’s favorite characters and why?

The favorite characters of the directors are Lynn Bowles and Leonard Bowles. The reason behind this is that these characters will be the protagonist and antagonists of the book. The protagonist is going to investigate something which the antagonist wants to cover up. The reason is because of their personality. Lynn Bowles has a strong will and a strong love for her father.
