The color of theatres is currently quite blue, but by next summer, it will be a vibrant hue of pink. Warner Bros. The first teaser trailer for the upcoming “Barbie” movie was released today. Who are Barbie and Ken?

Besides being a plastic molded doll, “Barbie” has become an icon of ideal womanhood and her continual popularity has inspired similar dolls from Mattel including Midge, Skipper, and Stacie. Ken is the boyfriend of Barbie, a doll that was molded by Ruth Handler to look like an adult. Ken was first sold in 1961 and is currently Mattel’s biggest-selling doll. Barbie and Ken were in a relationship for many years. They made a public debut at the American Toy Fair in New York City on March 9, 1959, but they dated secretly for weeks earlier. Barbie is said to have declared her love for Ken during their private romantic getaway to Hawaii in 1963.

Background of the movie 

Laurence Mark served as the primary producer when Universal Pictures first announced the film in 2009. However, development didn’t start until April 2014, when Sony Pictures bought the rights to the movie. Sony lost the rights, which were then sold to Warner Bros. Pictures amidst many writers and director changes, as well as the hiring of two different actresses to portray the titular role. In addition to being a producer under the LuckyChap Entertainment label she founded with Mattel Films and Heyday Films, Robbie was cast in the role in 2019. In 2021, Gerwig’s roles as co-writer and director with Baumbach were both confirmed. Early in 2022, Gosling and the rest of the cast were revealed, and in England, production started in March and ended in July of that year.

Will the famous “Barbie” song be a part of the movie soundtrack?

“Barbie” won’t be attending the party. The group Aqua, who wrote the wildly popular song “Barbie Girl” in 1997, has announced the song won’t be featured in the next “Barbie” movie. mostly because Mattel finally dropped its lawsuit against Aqua over the lyrics. Release date of the movie 

Warner Bros. has stated that the live-action movie will debut in theatres on July 21, 2023, announcement at CinemaCon, which also included an early peek of Robbie in character. The “Barbie” movie was first announced in 2018, however, because of pandemic delays, the film’s production didn’t start until after Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig finished their respective projects.
