The Marvel Cinematic Universe is going to launch another superhero series. MCU recently revealed the premiere date of Wonder Man. The writer of this series is Andrew Guest who already joined as a head writer. This show is released on Disney+. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II plays a lead role in the series. If you don’t know, he plays the negative role in Aquaman 1 as a Black Manta and he is in the second part of Aqua-Man 2. Ben Kingsley was also confirmed in this series. From the Wonder Man series, “F.R.I.E.N.D.S” tv series actress Courteney Cox who plays Monica Geller joins the MCU.
Who is Simon Williams in Marvel comics?
Simon Williams is a character in the Marvel comics. His career was going well, he was on the top. But what made him a villain? It’s because of his lover, he got cheated on by her and she revealed their affair to the public so he lost his career as an actor and also everything including respect and love from the public. At that point, he got angry with women and decided to become a villain named Wonder Man. He became a member of Masters of Evil led by Baron Zemo but Captain America defeated them all. In the MCU, Simon Williams is going to be a rookie in the United States Army who has superpowers. He’s an excellent engineer and will become a superhero.
First appearance in Marvel comics
The first appearance of Simon Williams was in Avengers #9 (Sept ’66), he appeared with his fellow members of Masters of Evil. He also appeared in Iron Man issue 54. He was a millionaire who loved everything including his money but he decided to be a superhero and made a lot of sacrifices. He saved his family but he lost his life in doing so.

What are the Powers and abilities of Wonder Man in Marvel Comics?
Simon Williams has a lot of powers that come with his superhuman strength. He has been trained to fight efficiently and most importantly he can fly. He can move faster than any human, but there are some limits. He is stronger than the Hulk and he can lift around three hundred tons. He can move very fast at a rate of Mach 6 but at a rate of Mach 10, he can’t move faster than that. He can also withstand temperatures up to 3000 Kelvin (above Absolute Zero) and up to 16000 Kelvin (Supernova). At normal temperatures, he will start to burn but still move at Mach 6 or above.

The character was good and we were happy to see the character on screen. This is a good origin story for Wonder Man. It’s different from the comics and we guess Marvel Cinematic Universe should have an origin story of new characters. Wonder Man was a funny character, we think he is the funniest character in the MCU. His personality is funny but at the same time, he can be serious.
