What inspired the director to write Ms. Marvel Season 2?

The series is inspired by the thoughts of director Bisha Ali. Ali told that “For me, it was so exciting to see a character I’ve been reading since I was 12 years old come to life on screen. Kamala is such an inspiring character, and while this is the story of her coming into her own as a superhero and leader, it’s really about the relationships she creates along the way.

Like any hero worth their superpowers, she manages to inspire others with kindness and courage.”  The series will have a new lead actress in 14-year-old Elodie Young who will be playing the role of Tyesha.

Who are the director’s favorite characters and why?

The favorite characters of director Bisha Ali are Kamala Khan and Bruno Carrelli. She told that “Kamala is such an inspiring character, and while this is the story of her coming into her own as a superhero and leader, it’s really about the relationships she creates along the way. Her parents and best friends Bruno “Caro” Carrelli (Matt Lintz) are at the heart of it all.”
