Outer Range, the new anthology from Amazon, brings the weird fiction mindset to your doorstep. This collection of tales takes you on a journey to strange and unusual places, where the impossible becomes reality and the everyday is turned on its head. The book cuts across genres, from horror and suspense to science fiction and speculative fiction to magical realism, but no matter the genre or subject matter, these stories ask to be read.

Do you know about the release date of the Outer Range Series:

This series will be released on 15 April 2022. Also, the series has a total of 6 books. The series covers Horror, Surrealism, Fantasy, Dark Fantasy, and Speculative Fiction. The series will be released by Amazon. The Amazon series will have a total of 4 books in a year, which makes them more manageable to be read in one go, and also they are releasing the whole series at once, which is good because you can binge read the whole series, just like watching Game of Thrones.

The E-book format of this series is available on Amazon Kindle store, Kobo Store, and Smashwords as well. The e-book format of the outer range series can also be found at other online retailers like Apple iBooks store and Google books.

Here is the plot of the Outer Range Series discussed:

The plot of the Outer Range series is not clearly defined as it is a collection of short stories, where each story is following its own line. According to the author(s), the whole series will be like a road trip. You won’t know what to expect from the next story and stories are going to take you on a journey to far-off places (or not so far off). Some of the stories are dark, some of them are funny and some are oppressive but each one will make you think about them in different ways. There will be one recurring character in this series. And that character is a female scientist named Dr. Alex Platt.

What inspired the director to write the Outer Range Series?

The series is inspired by what I’ve observed in my own life and by my fascination with the storytelling of old films such as The Wizard of Oz. The old stories, the grandiose characters, and the sense of wonder that those films and those old stories inspire in me are what inspired this series. The series itself is a reflection of the magic contained in those stories, brought to life in a modern context.

How did the director get interested in writing Horror?

I started watching horror movies when I was a kid, but it wasn’t until I got older that I began to notice how much of an impact those movies have on people. The characters and the storylines and the emotions they elicit are clearly an important part of why we watch horror movies, but it’s also so much more than that; these films have had such a significant impact on our culture and our emotions that they’re worthy of analysis and exploration.

Are there any characters in the series that are based on people in real life?

The main character of the series, Cecilia Abbott, is inspired by my own mother’s life. She was born in 1954 and raised in rural northeast Iowa until she was eight years old. She loved to read and she instilled that love into me.

She had a fascination with rocks and minerals and she collected them for as long as I can remember. She saved every bit of paper it seemed; her office had stacks upon stacks of papers from her childhood until her death, including pages from novels she read when she was younger.

Where do directors come up with their ideas for the plot lines and setting of each book?

I get my ideas for the plot and setting from my own life and from my own experiences. Mostly, though, I draw on all of the stories I’ve read in my life, both fiction and non-fiction. The stories that inspire me most come from a rich literary tradition. Horror came to me as a product of some of those influences.
