What inspired you to write the Outer Range Series?
This series is inspired by American crime dramas, suspense thrillers, action, and thriller movies. I’m a big fan of crime drama movies and I’ve been seeing a lot of crime thrillers recently. It started with me favoring one particular movie which had a very interesting plot in the plot of that movie. So the creator is inspired by the favorite movie, Outer Range.
This story stands out because it has an unexpected twist in it and many twist movies are seen these days but in this series plot there are twists in every episode or we can say every chapter so every chapter is like a different twist genre to mention.
Where did you come up with the idea for the story and characters?
The basic idea of the story came from watching a crime drama film with my family and actually that movie is inspired by Outer Vegas and stars Taylor Lautner. I liked that movie as well as the plot of the story so I just kept thinking if there is any idea like this in real life which has been happening in movies or on TV then I can write an interesting crime drama story that has an interesting mystery twist plot.
What type of genre did you intend for your series?
I’ve seen a lot of crime thriller movies in the past where there are many mystery twists in each chapter which makes every chapter a different genre to know about. I want to show the viewers that sometimes these things are happening in real life and not only in movies so I just wanted to convey this idea through crime thriller series.
In each episode, there will be a different genre but the story plot is always about two main characters who are father & son. The twisted plot is also very interesting as well as unexpected to know more about this plot.
How long did it take you to write all three books in the series combined?
It took me more than a month to complete one book. It took me more than a month to complete one chapter of the story because I have to make it interesting and fun to read. I always have to make the author’s name in front of the title with my name.
How did you come up with the ideas of specific characters or scenes?
Some characters are inspired by the idea which I saw in some TV Drama Series of crime thriller genre where many criminals and investigators are doing his or her job but there is one particular character which was very unique so I made that character as well as his job for my series as well. That character inspires me also for writing about him in my series.
Are there any themes or messages that you were hoping to communicate?
There is a message which I’m trying to show to the readers that crime thriller series is also happening in real life. Many crimes are happening in different places and incidents in real life. So there is a story that happened like this which inspires me to make a crime thriller series for my readers.
