Netflix’s animated crime comedy series, Paradise PD, is back for season four. Season three premiered on January 10th, 2019, and ended on March 20th, 2019. The plot follows the adventures of a group of brave cops who are stationed in one of the most corrupt cities in America called Palm Dessert. The production team is the same, with Bento Box Entertainment producing, Brillstein Entertainment Partners as co-executive producer and showrunner Mike Scully in charge of writing alongside Erik Richter Strand who has both been working on this series since its very first episode. Awards:

The series won an Annie Award for ‘Best Animated TV Production’ in 2018, and the show was also nominated in this category at the 2019 ceremony as well, but couldn’t take home another trophy this time around. The other two nominations that Paradise PD season four received were for ‘Best Animated TV Production’ and ‘Outstanding Achievement, Writing in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production.’ The series was nominated for an Annie Award in 2019 and got another nomination at TCA Awards 2023.

In 1st season, On Rotten Tomatoes, it holds a score of 55% based on twelve critic reviews with an average rating of just over six out of ten. Well-liked by critics, Paradise PD season four will be following in its predecessor’s footsteps with a 100 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes based on reviews from five critics, while on Metacritic, it has a score of 80/100 based on four critics.

Reviews:

Critics are not so happy about the plot of Paradise PD season four. They say it is slow and dragging while having no laughs to offer whatsoever, but most agree that it has a good storyline with likable characters. However, critics highly praise the cast for doing an amazing job with the voice acting in their roles, especially David Herman, who plays Captain. The first episode of Paradise Pd was seen by almost three million viewers in its initial weekend, and after a week, more than 12 million people had watched at least one episode.
