Nicolas Cage’s Dracula performance at Renfield left co-star Brandon Scott Jones very emotional. The actor, who plays Renfield in the new adaptation of Dracula, couldn’t hold back tears after seeing Cage’s portrayal. The film is inspired by Bram Stoker’s classic novel about an undead aristocrat who prowls Transylvania in search of blood — only to find love with Mina Harker (played by Jessica De Gouw). Jones said he already knew Cage’s acting skills were superb when he was lent an audition tape. “I was amazed. I’ve heard many people speak of him as a great actor, but that performance blew me away,” Jones said of the tape. “I borrowed the tape from my manager and I watched it several times before going to bed.”
