ABOUT RESERVATION DOGS :
RESERVATION DOGS is a Canadian show that takes place in the 1970s and tells of one woman’s journey to create her own version of an ideal life. In Season One, we meet Margaret (played by Anika Noni Rose), who has just been released from prison after serving time for passing counterfeit currency.
She returns to her community of Indian Brook, Nova Scotia, eager to reconnect with her children. But when she arrives home, she finds out that in the time since she’s been gone, things have changed and are no longer what they once were.
RELEASE DATE:
The production company is shooting the first season in Canada. Season one will have 11 episodes and a release date TBD.
RESERVATION DOGS PLOT:
Margaret (played by Anika Noni Rose) is released after serving time for passing counterfeit currency and moves back into her home. She is told by the chief of police that a lot has changed in the last five years while she’s been away – including the disappearance of Margaret’s son.

The show centers around one woman, Anne (portrayed by Anika Noni Rose), who must return to her community of Indian Brook, Nova Scotia, after serving time for passing counterfeit currency. While she is trying to reconnect with her children and former life in the small town, Anne also becomes fixated on what happened to her son while he was living there before she went away.
The plot of “RESERVATION DOGS” is centered around the Department of Native American Affairs (DANA) and how they handle red blood who are coming into America and how they’re taking the land.
THE STARRING CAST:
We don’t know who any of these actors are yet, but we’re excited to find out! Our speculation includes comedians like Leslie Jones from “Saturday Night Live,” Moana’s Auli’i Cravalho, and Kumail Nanjiani from “Silicon Valley.”

The show features dogs, a cast of First Nations actors, and actresses who speak their native languages- Cree, Ojibwe, and Dakota Sioux. “Annie” is the run-away dog who finds herself in a territory she doesn’t know and full of people she doesn’t recognize.
PRODUCTION:
The producers are hoping that this show will renew interest in Native American culture and explore what it means to be an indigenous person living on a reservation today. This show will also be set in the 1990s, so you may see some references to Bill Clinton’s presidency and other things that happened at the time, such as a Kylie Jenner makeup line or an iPhone being released.
