If you’re a fan of spy thrillers, then you’ll love ‘Slow Horses’. This book is set in the world of espionage and follows the story of two British agents who are trying to track down a stolen document. The writing is sharp and witty, and the plot is full of twists and turns. The author throws in plenty of surprises and keeps the action going from start to finish. This is a gripping and entertaining novel, which will keep you entertained for hours on end.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good spy thriller. It has plenty of twists and turns, as well as some quite shocking moments. You’ll be kept guessing right up until the end!
This series will be released on 1 April 2022. Also, the series has 6 other books in it. Frederick Graylock is the protagonist of Slow Horses. He is an MI5 agent who has been hired by Whitehall to track down a stolen document.
Fred has found a lead on the document at work and believes that it’s hidden within the archive. With his friends, he flies to Switzerland and works through various departments, trying to gain access to important documents. However, things quickly go wrong when his cover is blown and he’s captured by what looks like Russians.
The plot of the Slow Horses Series mainly revolves and discusses the journey of an agent, Frederick Graylock. He is an MI5 agent who has been hired by Whitehall to track down a stolen document. Unfortunately, he does not succeed in finding it.
The author gives a clear meaning of the title Slow Horses which he says that people who go slow in doing something are called “slow horses”. But in our book, it just means that there are some enemies who will move slowly and secretly to achieve their goals.
The series is inspired by the novel “Borrowers” by Iain Banks. This novel is all about the adventures of a loan, and also the series has elements of a classic spy thriller, with some elements of science fiction.
I haven’t heard anything as of yet, but if it happens, I might ask for some royalties. The series is published by HarperCollins, and if not a film then definitely a television adaptation.
Yes, I’ve already offered one of my friends a job adapting the series as a comic book. He said he was on board right away, but I have yet to hear anything back from him. Maybe if things go well with my first novel, then we might have another option open up besides only a TV or Film adaptation. I’m aiming to make this book into an entire franchise with other works from me that would follow how the characters progress in the upcoming novels.
Yes, there will be sequels to the series. So far I have 2 novels planned for this series, but I have already written 2 more during the process of writing Slow Horses. I would like to write more novels in the future with this series and hopefully other books. The other books are Black Star and Red Star, the two bigger novels in which we follow the story of both Frederick Graylock and his father James Graylock while they are working together as agents for MI5.
My favorite aspect of writing “Slow Horses” is that it was not my first book nor am I getting tired from writing it. I think that was the reason behind my success in writing this book other than my ideas. Writing this book was basically like digesting what I had already written before.
