The show was originally going to be a film but it ended up being an hour-long drama series that premiered on The CW in 2017 and is based on the Archie comics. The show has been ranked as being one of the most expensive shows on television. The first season had a budget of $45 million and it is believed that later seasons will be more than this already high number.
Renewal Status:
As far as we know, there has not been an official announcement about the renewal status for Riverdale season six yet. However, if it follows its usual release pattern then it will premiere on The CW next fall and continue airing until it reaches its finale.

The plot of Riverdale season six is still very much under wraps at this point in time. However, there are rumors about what might happen next to all our favorite characters. Madelaine Petsch has revealed some details on Cheryl’s plot, and she has revealed that Cheryl’s mother will appear in the show. She also teased a potential romance for her character too because let’s face it, who isn’t shipping #Choni?

As we near the end of this epic season, things are definitely heating up and Riverdale fans everywhere can’t wait to see what happens next. The show has been taking a lot of risks with plot lines recently- almost as if they’re trying to make each episode more shocking than the last one!
Fans of the show have been writing about what they want to see in future seasons.
