The Riverdale Season 7 series finale left us with some major cliffhangers, but one of the biggest questions is: will Kiernan Shipka be back?

Ever since her character’s untimely death in episode 20, fans have been speculating as to whether or not we’ll see Veronica Lodge return — and now Kiernan Shipka has weighed in on these theories. The star has made two posts on her Twitter account, the first of which is a photo of her dressed up as Veronica. The second reveals that she’s had discussions about the possibility of a Riverdale Season 8. Given there are only 13 episodes left in the season, that’s hardly surprising. But if we’re going to see any more Riverdale shenanigans, then it surely won’t be this year. At the time of writing, Netflix hasn’t renewed its original run — although they did extend the first Season 5 episode order by an episode. Speculation is rife at the moment whether or not they’ll bring the show back for a sixth season after Riverdale Season 7 (pending on how fans might have reacted).
