The horror franchise SCREAM is a series of American slasher films. The first four films were written by Kevin Williamson and directed by Wes Craven. Scream series five has been in the works for years, but finally, it’s coming to theaters this Halloween! Fans are eagerly awaiting all the updates about what will happen next with Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and her friends from Woodsboro High School as they face new threats that arise after moving away to college.

Sidney is back, and she’s the star of a TV series, but now it’s being shot in her old hometown. The young cast starts to get off one by one on set. What horror will Sidney face next? The film is a sequel to SCREAM. A television series called “Stab” is shot in Sidney’s old hometown of Woodsboro, and the cast starts dying off one by one.

The official date has not been announced yet, but it is to be expected in 2022 or 2023.
THE STARRING CAST:
The cast for this installment includes Tony Goldwyn as the father of one of Sidney’s old friends, Hayden Panettiere, who returns to reprise her role from Scream films two and three. Other returning stars include David Arquette (who played Sid in all five movies), Neve Campbell (Sidney), Courteney Cox (Jenny), and Rose McGowan (Tatum).
THE Plot:
We are taken back into Woodsboro as a new series begins. The main characters in this film are Sidney Prescott, the only survivor from Woodsboro, and Gale Weathers, a TV journalist investigating her past with Billy Loomis, aka Ghostface.
Roberts (Sidney Prescott) is Sidney Prescott, who is living in a secluded area with the love of her life and son. The townspeople are still resentful towards her for surviving when they lost their loved ones. She begins to get threatening phone calls from an unknown caller, which she ignores, but they become more frequent and aggressive.
A teenage girl, Emma, is taken by the killer. Sidney begins to get more involved in her life, and they even share a kiss, but she breaks up with him later on when she realizes how much he changed. This leads Sidney into having an affair with Eddie, who is another teenager living nearby. The murderer sees their relationship and leaves behind.
Expectations:
Expectations for this sequel are high, as the film has a lot of knowledge to live up to. Fans will be happy with what they find on screen, though! The actors all have years of theater and TV experience under their belt, which is why many say that this film is the best of all five.
REVIEWS:
The film has a rating of PG-13 for violence and terror with some sexual content involving teens. It is receiving largely mixed reviews from critics so far.
