An all-new documentary series from Discovery Plus, the home of “Science and Technology in a Global Society,” is set to debut next month with SMARTLESS DOCUSERIES. The show follows three teams of people as they explore some of the most complex scientific topics that exist today. They tackle subjects like dark matter, global warming, and artificial intelligence to create an engaging program for viewers who want more than just talking heads on TV.

The show is shot on location and includes plenty of shots of the team at work in labs or outdoors with colleagues from around the world. They also showcase animations that illustrate points they are making about scientific theories and concepts like quantum physics. PRODUCTION:
Production of “SMARTLESS DOCUSERIES” is being overseen by producer and director Ken Nettles (executive producer on “The Universe”). Dr. Rosenberg will be joined in the show as a presenter by Liz Gantley, Roger Highfield. The series will air globally on the Discovery Channel, with a global release date set for February 2022.

“SMARTLESS DOCUSERIES” is a new documentary series on Discovery Plus that explores the future of science. The show follows Dr. Jeff Rosenberg, who is both an award-winning astrophysicist and a world-renowned TV presenter (“The Universe”). The PLOT of “SMARTLESS DOCUSERIES” is about how, over time, we have been able to advance our understanding of what makes us human and where we fit in within the universe from ancient times up until now – an important subject that will soon be essential to all of us.
This series will explore how our understanding of space has changed, from ancient Greek thinkers to “the new Copernicans” – those who think about what it means for humans when we know that Earth is just a tiny speck in an enormous cosmos.

EXPECTATIONS:
In the episode about artificial intelligence, viewers will get to see first-hand how robots are used in factories and warehouses. They’ll visit a factory where they set up an assembly line for assembling items like car parts or furniture on a conveyor belt. Robots work with humans alongside each other to make sure all of their tasks are completed.
