The series will take place 25 years after Star Trek Nemesis, the last movie with the Next Generation cast. The show is going to feature a new cast because it is set in an alternate timeline. This means that Jean-Luc Picard himself will not be a part of this series.

The favorite character so far in the Star Trek Picard Series is Jean-Luc Picard. This is because he is my all-time favorite character in the entire franchise. He was a great captain and first officer onboard the USS Enterprise. I also loved his diplomatic approach to handling conflicts during his time in Starfleet.
