The finale of Stargirl Season 2 left us with so many questions. Who is the masked man? What will happen to Leo? Will Stargirl be able to save her family from the villain’s clutches? RELEASE DATE:
The release date for the third season of Stargirl has not been announced yet, but it is expected to be on screens in the year 2022. The streaming service DC Universe has yet to announce a release date for Stargirl Season three, but it could be available earlier than expected as they have been releasing new episodes every week since the first season was released back in September 2019. The second season premiered on Netflix in May 2021, which means that Stargirl Season three could be released in May 2022.

PRODUCTION:
Production for Stargirl Season Three has already started. The executive producers include Sarah Schechter, Geoff Johns, and Greg Berlanti, who is also the director of several episodes in this third season. It is known that the majority of Stargirl Season three episodes will be shot in Toronto, Canada.
RENEWAL STATUS:
The first season of Stargirl was a great success when it premiered on DC Universe last September 2019, although the second season wasn’t as popular and only had about 600 thousand viewers per episode, which meant that there wouldn’t be any more seasons. The first season has been renewed for a third installment, but it will be unlikely that we see any more seasons of Stargirl in future years.
THE PLOT:
The plot of Stargirl Season Three is still largely a mystery, but it will pick up from the cliff-hanger at the end of last season. The show takes place in the present day and several months after Leo Snart’s demise into an alternate reality during Crisis on Earth X. Since then, Courtney has been struggling to come to terms with the loss of her ex-boyfriend.
For the new season, it is believed that Stargirl will focus more on Courtney’s love life than any other plot point. It seems likely that she might be getting a new potential suitor in Ray Palmer, aka The Atom, who has been confirmed as appearing in Season Three of DC Legends of Tomorrow.
THE STARRING CAST:
It has been confirmed that Brec Bassinger will be returning as Stargirl, and it is likely Victor Garber, who plays Leo Snart/Citizen Steel in Season Two, will also return. It’s unclear whether any other cast members will be returning in Season Three. However, it seems unlikely that Klemmer would make this show without his writing and executive producer partner.
REVIEWS:
This season of Stargirl has been met with mixed reviews. Some critics claim that the writing is tedious and slow, there are far too many characters to keep up with, and every episode drags on for over forty-five minutes which makes it exhausting after a while. The overall viewership is expected to exceed that of last year. However, some other reviewers love all the new plot twists and are very excited to see what happens next.
RATINGS:
Stargirl Season three has so far been getting a rating of around seven out of ten, with the average episode ratings being slightly lower, which is very good. The show got an average rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes based on three reviews, while it only scored a rating of 35% on Metacritic.
EXPECTATIONS:
The first season was made available everywhere in the United States through DC Universe, while it will also be available to stream all over the world with Netflix from 2021 onwards. The second season didn’t get as much attention as hoped for, but hopefully, things can improve this time around.
