The second film is very dark in tone, which makes it similar to “Halloween.” The main difference between the two is that Halloween focuses on one killer while this movie goes into depth about multiple killers.

In the third film, Leatherface is taking more people captive. One of the main takeaways is that Leatherface seeks to find and kill his extended family, as he believes they have turned against him. It is also said that this movie will tie in with the first two installments by showing what happened to some of the victims from those movies.

The first movie: We see him for about five or ten minutes at the most. The second movie: He gets around 15 minutes of screen time, and 20 in total if you add up all of his scenes together.
