In a surprise move, Warner Bros. released the funeral scene from The Batman online today. The highly anticipated movie is set to hit theatres in a few weeks, but fans can now get a sneak peek of the funeral scene. The scene features an emotional Batman (played by Ben Affleck) as he says goodbye to his longtime friend and ally, Commissioner Gordon (played by Gary Oldman). The two share an intense conversation in which Gordon pleads with Batman to retire and leave Gotham City to him.
However, this does not sound like it will be a major part of the movie. The funeral scene is only about a minute long and we don’t learn too much about the plot. Batman is mentioned as having many allies from all over the world, yet it seems like he doesn’t have any here in Gotham City. Gordon also mentions that Bruce Wayne has died but he seems to be unaware that Bruce has become Batman as well. The word “Bat” is never mentioned in the entire scene and Gordon seems to be unaware of any of Batman’s activities until now.

As rumours spread about The Batman, criminals begin to gather together to hunt The Batman down to gain his fortune. Bruce is too busy with crimes in Gotham City instead of curing villains.

Some more things they could put into the next movie is that they should add more of his allies in case anyone dies so it’s not too difficult for him to find allies if someone dies.
