The production is being handled by Prometheus Entertainment once again, with Craig Piligian and Kevin Burns as the Executive Producers. The production for the show is set to end in July 2022.

The plot follows the characters as they attempt to solve this 200-year old mystery while facing some of the most difficult obstacles in their way, including dangerous weather conditions, which make it impossible for them to continue digging without risking life and limb or, even worse – death by drowning underwater if they are unable to resurface due to the overwhelming pressure of fast-moving currents.

The Curse of Oak Island received mixed reviews from critics. The show created a lot of hype when it first aired, but after the series’ plot started to lack in originality, many viewers felt disappointed with what they were watching. The Curse of Oak Island has received largely positive reviews, with an average score of 80/100 on Metacritic.
