The Expanse Season 6 has come to an end and it’s time for The Expanse finale explained. The series is based on the book series of the same name, written by James S.A. Corey, so there are some deviations between the two versions but overall The Expanse season 6 was a satisfying conclusion to one of sci-fi’s best shows in years. The show had more than its share of ups and downs over six seasons with moments that were either thrilling or just plain frustrating, but
The Expanse Season 6 finale delivered on all fronts and left us satisfied with this space opera adventure. It’s the end of the road for James Holden and his crew as they have finally arrived at a destination that will take them back home. Their journey has been a long one, filled with loss, struggle, and plenty of drama. We’ll start this discussion by looking at the finale in a little more detail.
This series will be released on 14 January 2022. The series has completed six seasons, with the show’s first four seasons having been released between 2015 and 2017.
Season 5 of The Expanse Season 6 is estimated to be released in 2020. The Expanse has aired on Syfy since 2015 where it holds a rating of 8.3 on IMDB. This shows that the response to the show on Syfy has been good, so even though this has been a long-running series, there is still plenty of life left in it.
The Expanse is an ambitious space opera that has been compared to Star Wars, Star Trek, and Battlestar Galactica. In The Expanse, humanity found itself in a different solar system. This wasn’t our solar system but it was similar in that there were multiple colonies established on different planets by different groups of people.
It is at this point in the series you have to accept that this show has just lost its way and started trying too hard to be something that it’s not. At this point, the show is trying too hard to be a political drama, which might make sense if we were watching The West Wing, but we are not.
The main themes of The Expanse season 6 are wrapped up in the last episode. Is this a post-apocalyptic world, Do the Belters have too much power or have humans evolved into something uncontrollable? The themes of the entire series as a whole were that humanity is headed for an epic disaster and we need to work together to save it. There are a few more themes thrown out there as well, such as being aware of your surroundings and never being complacent.
The big question that we want to answer is how will humanity and the United Nations coexist in the future? Will, there be a war between the two sides or will they learn to work together? How will the James Holden character be redeemed? He did some pretty shady stuff during season 5, but we still love him. We don’t want to see him lose his soul, but he definitely needs to pay for his wrongdoings.
The final season of The Expanse was divided into two parts and each part had ten episodes. The first batch focused on Earth while the last batch focused on other areas of space. When you look at this season as a whole, it’s apparent that it felt rushed and ended abruptly.
