Director Steven C. Miller has been tapped to helm the fourth film in the gritty action series, it was confirmed Thursday by producer and star of “The Expendables 4”. “The Expendables 4” is set for release summer of 2023 and stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, and Dolph Lundgren. It’s about a group of mercenaries on one last mission together to overthrow an evil dictator in South America. The project has gone through several writers and directors including Patrick Hughes, who was set to direct before Miller but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. Shooting will begin in Bulgaria soon for the fourth installment of the 2021 action film. Lionsgate is releasing the fourth installment of the action series and confirmed Thursday that it would be released on Aug. 15 later this year.
