ABOUT THE SERPENT SEASON 2:

Viewers will find that there is a sense of unity among the characters and their storylines, which feels slightly different from past seasons. The plot for the season is more cohesive than it was in previous seasons. This time, everything seems to be related in some way or another.

The Serpent focuses on the backstory of Eve, Adam’s first wife and best friend. It explores her life from before she met him to when they were together as a family with their two children. The show is set in modern-day New York City and is based loosely on scripture from Genesis and Hebrew texts.

RELEASE DATE:

The Serpent Season two is expected to premiere on the streaming service NETFLIX sometime in late 2021 or early 2022 (date not confirmed).

THE PLOT:

The Serpent Season 2 Plot follows Detective Evelyn Olmos (played by Michelle LaRose) as she investigates a string of murders in Los Angeles. She is investigating a case that will eventually lead her into the depths of the Mojave Desert, where she uncovers secrets from Mexico and, ultimately, herself.

During this time, Eve has been living in New York with her daughter, Nita. She is a single mother to an unconventional teenage girl and struggling to keep it together while she’s mourning the death of Adam, who died during Eve’s pregnancy. Eve has always been a strong, self-sufficient person who is very comfortable in her own skin and with the choices she’s made until now. Something changed when Adam died.

Adam, Eve’s soulmate and partner, was killed on their wedding day during Eve’s pregnancy with twins. They learn that they must fight for their lives against one more time traveler while also solving an ancient artifact called The Serpent Box. She lives under constant scrutiny because of her profession; as one journalist put it “The Serpent back-story may make for a compelling TV show, but I think it’s time we put Eve out to pasture.”
