Who are Transformers?

Transformers were created to fight in the Primal Wars. The Autobots were created by the Lyrans as protectors of their colony on Earth. The evil Decepticons were created by Unicron and his brothers to conquer, enslave, and destroy the galaxy. The Decepticons started attacking the colony and laying siege to it. Optimus Prime was one of a handful of Autobots who escaped their destruction on Earth.

The Autobots were forced underground during the 21st Century of Cybertron as the human race began to flourish on Earth. The Decepticons moved in and made it their home. The original Transformers are now extinct and the last of their kind died at the hands of Megatron.  In 2007, the first Autobots appeared in a modern retelling of a classic story. It was an amazing movie that changed the face of Transformers forever.
