The Vow Part Two series is a Depiction of the workings of NXIVM, including sexual slavery and human trafficking, which is something that has been at the forefront of my mind for some time now. The plot of the Vow Part Two series follows the events as they unfold, where an unexpected twist occurs that causes a complete upheaval within the cult. This leads to the discovery of a dark secret that may be too much for the cult to handle at that time. What inspired the director to write the Vow Part Two series?

The series is inspired by the testimony given before the New York State Unified Court System regarding the NXIVM Cult. The main idea of this film series is to raise awareness about child sex trafficking and child sexual abuse. The Vow Part Two series is a documentary that examines small moments in time where the dark underbelly of society rears its ugly head. These moments may seem insignificant at first, but when a cult becomes involved all hell breaks loose. 

Who are the directors favorite characters and why?

The favorite character of the director is Eliza, because she represents the heart and soul of NXIVM. The idea behind this cult is that they want to “wipe out humanity” and only those who are strong enough will survive. The director’s favorite character is Eliza due to the fact that she is not easily swayed. She wants to help people and she wants to see the best in everyone. The director’s favorite character is Victor Salva because of his style of manipulation, he uses his charm to convince people that they can do what he says they can do.

What was the director’s aim in writing the Vow Part Two series?

The director’s aim in writing this film is to raise awareness about some of the issues that are happening around the world with different cults. She wants people to realize that child sexual abuse and child sexual trafficking can happen to anyone, therefore it is important to keep your children safe. The director also wants everyone to be aware of what is really happening behind closed doors, as there are many mysteries surrounding NXIVM. In addition, human experiments have been going on for years and no one has taken much notice.
