The hit Netflix original series was renewed for a second season, and fans are thrilled. The plot of the show will follow Geralt of Rivia’s journey to find Ciri, who has mysteriously vanished. The cast includes Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Freya Allan as Ciri, Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson as Eist Tuirseach, Adam Levy as Mousesack, and MyAnna Buring playing Tissaia. Filming began in February 2019, with an expected release date set for 2022 on Netflix.

About The Witcher:

The Witcher is based on the fantasy novel series of short stories and novels by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski (translated into 49 languages). The plot follows Geralt, a mutated monster hunter known as a “Witcher” who travels around in an unnamed medieval world. While he struggles to find his place in the world, Geralt battles evil forces and attempts to protect the people he cares about.

There is no information about the plot of season two yet, but it will consist of eight episodes like its predecessor. The Starring Cast:

Netflix has announced that The Witcher cast will return for the second run of episodes. Here’s who is confirmed so far:

  • Jodhi May as Queen Calanthe, and
  • Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson as Eist.

The Witcher Season Two plot:

Season two follows Geralt, who is on a quest in search of his long-lost love, Yennefer, after she was captured by The Wild Hunt. As would be expected with this type of epic tale, we will see Geralt and Yennefer reunite and face the Wild Hunt together. As previously announced, Henry Cavill will be portraying Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher franchise. This time around, we find him back on the path, searching for his lost love amidst a savage war between men and ancient creatures.

The plot follows Geralt on a quest to find his wife, Yennefer of Vengerberg, who is being held captive by the Wild Hunt. The new season will also focus on Ciri and her battle against the White Frost. Other characters from Sapkowski’s series that are confirmed for this season are Triss, the King of Beggars (revealed to be named Dudu), and Emhyr var Emreis.
