“The Last of Us” is an upcoming post-apocalyptic drama television series that is based on a game of the same name and is set to air on HBO. The story focuses on a population of survivors living in one American city, who are working to rebuild society. All survivors are bacterial carriers, which means they are immune from the virus that killed most of the world’s population. The only people who have passed the common infection are immune to it and can be identified by a tattoo on their arm. The first season of The Last of Us premiered in the United States on January 15, 2023.
Today the trailer is out and it was awesome. The CGI work is very good. Every detail is evident. New Character was introduced which is not in the game. The trailer gives you vibes of “Stranger Things” but in a post-apocalyptic world and the main villain looks like “Venca” The game’s narrative was conceived by writer and director Neil Druckmann, alongside the game’s writer and creative director, Bruce Straley. The screenplay was written by Druckmann and Straley, as well as Ashley Johnson, who also portrays Ellie.

“The Last of Us” is an international co-production between Sony Computer Entertainment and Naughty Dog, a subsidiary of Sony. The game was directed by Neil Druckmann with a script written by Druckmann and Bruce Straley, who had previously worked together on 2012’s Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson will portray Joel and Ellie respectively. Principal photography began in Boston in April 2014. In March 2014, it was announced that Sam Raimi would be an executive producer of the series. The show was renewed for a ten-episode second season in August 2015. In March 2016, it was announced that Neil Druckmann, co-writer of the video game on which the series is based, would become the showrunner for Season 2 along with co-creator and developer Telltale Games. - A four-issue comic book miniseries was launched from April to July 2013, the name is The Last of Us: American Dreams. Dark Horse Comics published it. It is about the journey of a younger Ellie and Riley.
- On March 6, 2014, Sony announced the movie ‘The Left of Us’ which is distributed by Screen Gems. The movie was written by Druckmann and Sam Raimi was going to produce this movie. But unfortunately, the movie was canceled
