A trailer for the upcoming civil rights drama ‘The Porter’ has been released, and it looks like it is going to be a must-watch film. The movie tells the story of a black porter who is working in a white-owned hotel in the South during the Jim Crow era.

It is based on a true story and is sure to move audiences with its powerful message. The film will premiere in February 2022, and tickets are already available for purchase online.

Forbes’  premiere date estimate is correct and USA Today’s date is likely an error. The film will premiere on EPIX and we expect the release date to be February 22, 2022. We were reminded of this when we saw that Jurnee Smollet Smith has a role in this one (she played ‘Jackie Robins in Gun Hill Road).

Do you know about the release date of The Porter Series:

This series will be released on 21 February 2022. Also, the series has 5 episodes. A synopsis for the series is not yet confirmed. Before the release of season 1, it was revealed that the main character is a black porter: Both ‘Trailer’ and ‘Trailer Reveal’ implied that he’s passing for white to earn more money at his job.

It’s quite common for African-American and Asian actors to be cast in roles as whites, in order to increase their pay rates when they’re not white. Historically, it has been an issue in both TV and film:  Mark Wahlberg, Will Smith, Emma Stone, Denzel Washington, Joel Edgerton, etc.

This series will also focus on its lead character’s internal life as well.
