Reviews:

The most positive review on Rotten Tomatoes is from Variety magazine’s Owen Gleiberman. He awarded the movie with three out of four stars and wrote that it was “a textbook example of a comic-book film that’s unexciting in its ho-hum competence, and yet keeps you watching out of an irresistible compulsion to see how it all turns out.” A good plot with minimal plot holes is important for setting the tone of a film like Venom that will most likely be the first movie people see when they decide to go into theaters.
