Set 15 years before the events of “Vikings,” “Vikings: Valhalla” takes place in the outskirts of England. Ragnar and his brother Rollo (Hilarie Burton) are outlaws who murder innocent villagers and raid ships.
One night, Ragnar is chased by a man in a hood who he believes to be a farmer but it is actually Hamish (Patrick Heusinger), an undercover “warrior monk” from Lindisfarne. While escaping, Ragnar and Hamish are captured by the soldier Beocca (Paul Rhys). Beocca brings them to his convent where he forces them to dress up as monks for comedic effect.

What are some of your favorite scenes or moments from the first season?
I really liked the fact that you got to see what it was like to live in a world where your life is in danger because of religion. It’s something that I haven’t seen before and this show does a pretty good job of showing it. In the end, you are going to want to watch it for yourself and not just take my word for it.
There is no doubt that there will be another season of this series. At the moment, it is unlikely that we will see a Season 3 in the immediate future. Therefore, I recommend Netflix to release the second season within 4 or 5 years from now. That way, we would be able to get at least two seasons of this series before it gets canceled.
