What inspired the Valhalla series of Vikings TV show on Netflix?

The series is inspired by the “Vikings” TV series (History Channel). This series is completely based on Vikings history.  According to the director of this series, it is the first time that you are going to see the Vikings in their early years. The story will go back to when they were teenagers.

The series also talks about their adventures as a family that has grown from a young brother, father and son who were looking for opportunities outside of Britain.  The entire season has 8 episodes and it will start over on 25 February 2022 on Netflix around all USA country.

How accurate are the portrayals of Norse mythology and Viking culture?

You may be surprised to learn that a lot of the topics you see in this show are actually based on modern theories. The “history” behind Vikings is still not completely known and what we do know comes from stories created by the Vikings themselves.

The show had an extremely tight schedule because it was shot across two countries, Ireland and Hungary. This affected the post-production time a lot and even though they had planned to do a complete overhaul within 10 days, it took 2 months instead.

Will there be a season two of the Valhalla series and if so, what can fans expect?

If the streaming giant chooses to renew the series, then yes, we will get a season 2. As for what you can expect from season 2, that depends on how they do in Season 1.  Netflix is coming off of a lot of success with their shows and since Thor: Ragnarok didn’t just want to sit there and not be seen, they decided to keep competing against themselves. That means that it is really likely that whatever they did with Vikings: Valhalla will be used to catapult the story of Ragnar into some new territory for Season 2.

What are some of your favorite scenes or moments from the first season?

I really liked the fact that you got to see what it was like to live in a world where your life is in danger because of religion. It’s something that I haven’t seen before and this show does a pretty good job of showing it.  In the end, you are going to want to watch it for yourself and not just take my word for it.

There is no doubt that there will be another season of this series.  At the moment, it is unlikely that we will see a Season 3 in the immediate future. Therefore, I recommend Netflix to release the second season within 4 or 5 years from now. That way, we would be able to get at least two seasons of this series before it gets canceled.
