What’s in store for HEX prices in the future?

HEX is coming at the end of this month and the excitement is palpable. We’ve seen a bunch of preview stuff and, needless to say, we’re absolutely giddy with anticipation. The price is high but worth it. This article will take an in-depth look at what’s most likely to happen with HEX so far as a game goes in the future, and what might be in store for prices later down the line.

As we enter deeper into this digital card game boom, there are bound to be some bumps along the way — fluctuating prices and new cards being released on a weekly basis that sometimes get quickly discontinued. I’ll be getting into the smaller things like cards that are only going to be available for a month or one week and the monetary consequences of that.

However, there are also some bigger problems in preparation for this game’s future. First and foremost is the fact that HEX has no retail value. If you lose interest, you can’t sell your cards back to them (unlike Blizzard games). This means that it is unlikely that you will see an influx of players (at least at first) simply because their cards are basically worthless. It also means that if your investment fails, then you’ve lost all your money.

What is a HEX coin?

HEX coins are basically the in-game currency. They act as a way to boost your chances of winning by allowing you to basically buy card packs. The rarity of the cards will seem familiar to anyone who has played Magic: The Gathering.

However, there are going to be two different kinds of packs. You could get a pack with common cards, uncommon cards or rares — or you could spend an extra 20 coins and get tournament packs which guarantee an uncommon or rare card.

One thing should be clear in light of this information: HEX coins pass almost directly from player-to-player and from developer-to-player when players pay for tournament entry fees. It is very unlikely that the players will be able to spend their coins on anything other than cards. And if there are stores online where they can trade them in for money, they’ll almost certainly charge a fee. This means that the only guaranteed way to make money in this game is to buy low and sell high — just like any other market.

Players who invest a lot of time and money into the game will have much stronger cards as a result. There are also people who will not want to spend any money at all on HEX. While I’ve been playing a lot of different card games, I don’t think that I am addicted enough to the particular game’s mechanics that I would be willing to spend huge amounts of money just to get into it: in other words, I think this is a game with some big hurdles if you’re not already into it. If you don’t play HEX, then you probably won’t play in tournaments and win any significant amount of cards.

HEX cryptocurrency security audit: Is it safe to invest in HEX?

It’s nice that they have the coins because they can buy packs and make it worthwhile to play in tournaments, it would be great if you could trade them in for real money, but I don’t see that happening. And even if you don’t play the game, you can still spend them online.

So, unless you have some kind of special way to hold them (like a Bitcoin wallet, which isn’t an option for almost everyone), there is not much of an incentive to spend 99% of them. There’s no reason for me to spend my money on HEX cards.

HEX community sentiment: Is HEX worth investing in?

This really depends on two things: how much you are willing to pay for a game (that is going to be online forever) and how much value you give the game itself. So, if it’s something that you will play the whole time then yes, it’s worth it. If you are looking at it from the perspective of someone who might not play for a long time, then HEX isn’t worth it to you. You could try to trade them in for real money (but I don’t think that’s going to happen), however I would not hold onto them for a long period of time because of the number of people selling cards online.

If you want to invest but aren’t willing to spend a lot of money on it, then HEX might be worth trying out.
