“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” is an upcoming fifth entry in the popular adventure series. A new theory posits that the clocks will be used to rewrite time and history. Although the Indiana Jones movies primarily remain grounded in their treasure-hunting escapades, the show has always been willing to mix in other genres, from aliens and face-melting magic. It is a unique idea of making a movie featuring a time-traveling Indiana Jones would be interesting. The long-awaited continuation of the Indiana Jones franchise is finally happening, being the first entry since Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. A great number of changes seem to be occurring in the fifth entry of the long-running franchise. The cast of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny added tons of new members, with Harrison Ford’s Indy being joined by his goddaughter Helena and a new villain named Jürgen Voller. In an interesting twist, Fegelein is a former Nazi. This trend has continued since Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Will the Villain be able to correct the past?

In the upcoming film, Mads Mikkelsen will be playing Jürgen Voller, a Nazi who joined NASA after World War II. Mads Mikkelsen caused a stir when he suggested that the Nazis might not be the “bad guys” in the new Indiana Jones movie. According to Mikkelsen, “Voller strives to correct mistakes from the past.” The new Indiana Jones movie may focus on real-world history. Voller could regret that Hitler lost WWII and want to correct it, or is trying to rewrite history. These mistakes might underscore something more personal to Voller.

How the turning point in history may be the Dial of Destiny?

It is not exactly known what the Dial of Destiny is in Indiana Jones 5. The titular artifact is not mentioned in the trailer or any of the film’s marketing. Indiana Jones is racing to find treasures throughout the film, such as the Ark of the Covenant and the Crystal Skull.  An ordinary dial would not be worth much, however, like other Indiana Jones treasures, it probably has some sort of magical properties and it’s probably time travel.

With that in mind, Fegelein may return to finish off Indiana. The Nazis have teamed up with the Russians to help them locate the Ark of the Covenant. The film was directed by Steven Spielberg, who is working off of a script by David Koepp.

In the conclusion,

The film will be very interesting to watch. It will be interesting to see how the Nazi characters are made sympathetic by the writers. The dial of destiny sounds like it might have a religious connotation, which would make sense with Indiana Jones. A time-traveling Indiana Jones movie would be amazing and it would be a great addition to the series.
