It’s been a long time coming for some fans who have waited with bated breath for more information about the third installment in this popular film franchise. The first two films, starring actress Gal Gadot (whose real name is actually “Gale”) and her character Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, were both phenomenal successes at the box office–the first one grossing over $400 million and the second over $600,000.
ABOUT WONDER WOMAN 3:
The third installment in the film franchise, Wonder Woman III will star Gal Gadot and Chris Pine. The movie has been rumored to be set during World War I (WWI), but this is not confirmed information so far. There are also rumors that there might be a love triangle storyline between Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Steve Trevor/Wonder Man, and a “newcomer” woman.
THE RELEASE DATE:
The film is set to be released in 2023 but no official date has been confirmed yet. It will have been over three years since the last Wonder Woman movie premiered at the box office in June 2017, which makes it highly anticipated among fans of DC’s iconic superheroine.
THE PLOT:
The plot of this film is a mystery for now but it’s not too hard to speculate what might happen based on the previous two films in the franchise. W think it would be safe to say that there will most likely be some type of villainous character or group of characters who are the antagonists of Wonder Woman and her allies, but we’ll just have to wait for more updates.
The film is set in 1984 so there will be a different type of aesthetic than previous films probably very 1980’s with bright colors (including neon) and lots of new technology coming into play. We also know that Wonder Woman’s outfit will change. Our guess is she’ll wear something from when she was a child and not be carrying her shield anymore because it doesn’t come into play until she becomes an adult. We know that Steve Trevor will be her love interest again, but the actor playing him hasn’t been announced yet.

THE STARRING CAST: NEW AND RETURNING MEMBERS:
The cast will be different in this film, but we know that the main star is going to have an important role.
- The actress playing her was announced as Gal Gadot (played Wonder Woman in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Wonder Woman”).
- We also know from what’s been released on the internet that Chris Pine (who played her love interest in “Wonder Woman”) is returning for this film.
PRODUCTION:
The production began filming at Leavesden Studios in London in 2020! Many of the cast members have been confirmed including Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva, also known as The Cheetah. And Cate Blanchett is returning to play Diana’s aunt Antiope; she first appeared in “Wonder Woman”.
Other actors include Pedro Pascal, who was recently seen in “Game of Thrones” as Oberyn Martell. And Liata Duncan is playing Hippolyta, Diana’s mother and Queen of the Amazons!
EXPECTATIONS:
There are many expectations for this film since the first one was so successful with over $820 million.

This film is getting excellent reviews! Many people are saying it has outstanding cinematography, terrific visuals, and an intriguing plotline that will keep you on your toes from beginning to end. The IMDB rating has not been released yet but we can’t wait to see what that will be!
