Marvel fans are used to seeing heroes with superpowers, but after watching this trailer, they hope to see Black Adam as well. This character has always been one of Marvel’s most popular and fan favorites of his comic book allies. He is someone who should be adapted for the small screen as well.

Here is the plot of Black Adam discussed:

Black Adam will be set in the movie in the modern world. Here he is a former street orphan who turned to crime and served time in prison until one day, and the wizard appeared before him.

The imprisoned Black Adam gave him a magical amulet that taught him his origins. The wizard had discovered a way to harness power from ancient Egyptian gods by turning black magic into white magic. After being brought back to life, Black Adam was placed as ruler of Kahndaq/Egypt. After years of ruling his country and seeing how many people lived there in poverty, he decided to cut ties with America.

What inspired you to write the Black Adam series?

This series is inspired by the comic book stories of my childhood. I always loved the Black Adam mythology, especially the character itself, and wanted to expand upon him as a series. The series was created to be an authentic adaptation of the comics and a true story in its own right.

How is your series similar to the comic book version of Black Adam?

My series is inspired by the comic book version of Black Adam and other versions that have been created for the big screen. The story and development of my character have stayed close to those created in comic books. The techniques used are also similar to those on the page, and the transition from comics to screen has been seamless.

My favorite TV show is Game of Thrones, and my favorite movies are the Lord of The Rings trilogy and Avengers: Infinity War.

How does writing a series differ from writing a standalone novel?

Writing a series differs from writing a standalone novel, but I have found that it is about developing the characters that you care for or those you love to be human. You will want to find all of their flaws because they all make mistakes at the end of the day. With a standalone novel, I generally can go through backstory and details more quickly because the reader already knows these things.

What was your favorite part of creating your series?

Adam’s path as a character in modern times and not having him be an ancient Egyptian god, his journey feels like one that is much more universal and relatable.

To be a successful writer, you have to write and write often. I would also say that you have to be organized and willing to let your character(s) grow. If they do not grow in your story, they will not grow as a person in your mind either.

Why do you think readers are drawn to the character of Black Adam?

The character of Black Adam has a broad appeal. He is a character that is full of life. He’s not weak. He’s strong and in control of his destiny. He is excellent, and he has it together. If you love fantasy, then the solid and heroic theme of Black Adam will quickly make him your favorite superhero; but if you like to read about rich characters who have much more depth to them than just their superpowers, then this series is for you as well.
