It was announced earlier this year that Bridgerton Season 2 would be hitting Netflix on December 18th, and now the day is finally here! If you’re like me, you’ve been counting down the days until you can binge watch the next season of this amazing show. Bridgerton is a historical romance drama based on the Bridgerton family from London in the early 1800s.
If you’re not familiar with it, I highly recommend watching Season 1 before diving into Season 2. Without giving away too many spoilers, I can tell you that we can expect to see more of Bridgertons romances unfold, along with some new relationships and characters. Netflix has confirmed that Season 2 will follow the story of Anthony Bridgerton, who fans were first introduced to in Season 1. In the first season, viewers were introduced to Anthony’s two sisters; Lady Sophia (the eldest) and Lady Penelope (the youngest). Anthony is known for his playboy ways, and it was clear from the beginning that there would be a love triangle between him and Sophia and Penelope.
Do you know about the release date of Bridgerton Season 2:
This series will be released on 25 March 2022. The show will be released in twelve parts and will be available on the Netflix streaming service. As I mentioned above, Bridgerton Season 2 will center around Anthony’s love life, specifically his romantic relationship with Lady Sophia (his best friend) and Lady Penelope (his childhood friend). In the trailer, we see that Anthony is trying to decide which lady he should spend the rest of his life with.

Bridgerton Season 2: The trailer released on December 8th, 2018, is below. The first season of Bridgerton was cancelled by Netflix after it finished airing in the UK due to low ratings. It was during the filming of this series that I watched a couple of bloopers that didn’t make it into the final cut. Did you ever wonder what happened to those scenes? What can we expect from this series Bridgerton Season 2?
We can expect to see the continuation of Anthony’s love life, specifically the love triangle between him and his sisters. If you thought the first season ended on a cliffhanger, you’ll be pleased to know that this series will have an ending. The mysterious “Lady X” is back and ready to make her move for Anthony. She is playing both sides of the fence and manipulating everyone around her as she works to break his heart.
In regard to Anthony’s romantic relationships, we can expect more people vying for his attention in Season 2. We already saw him having fun with Lady Penelope (his childhood friend) in Season 1, but now he has a new lady in his life: Lady Sophia.
Who will be the new cast members in the series Bridgerton Season 2?
In the trailer, we find out that Anthony will have a new neighbour in Season 2: Lord Beaumont. Lord Beaumont is the same neighbour too who Lady Sophia was engaged to before she broke it off in order to follow her heart. We also got hints about a possible romance between Lord Beaumont and Lady Penelope as well! This series is going to introduce some new characters that fans will get to know better by the end of Season 2. Sir Gideon Dalrymple is said to be an old friend of Anthony’s and is a known bachelor who prefers being single.

Will there be a Bridgerton Season 3 and if so, when will it be released on Netflix?
A follow-up series for Bridgerton is in the works, but it will focus on Anthony’s younger brother, Andrew Bridgerton. Sean Fletcher, who produced and wrote both seasons of Bridgerton, has stated that there will be a third season and that it could take a “completely different” story line.
Any new release date for Bridgerton Season 3?
If the series will not be cancelled again after Season 2, we might get the next season in 2019. Season 1 was released on March 25th, 2016 and Season 2 is set to be released on March 25th, 2022. We can expect Netflix to release the third season around that time as well. (just guessing)
Any casting announcements for Bridgerton Season 2 or 3?
There is no confirmation on when the next season might be released. So far, we have not seen any casting announcements. If Netflix decides to continue with this series, they might need to start casting a new cast of characters soon so we can get excited about Season 3! There is no official word on when the next Bridgerton Season 2 will be released, but I’m sure you are all just as anxious as I am to find out!
