  • There will be three main characters in this season and the Doctor, played by Jodie Whittaker is one of them! The other two are Yasmin (Mandip Gill), who comes from London, and Ryan (Tosin Cole), an engineer from Sheffield. They’ll be joined by the likes of Bradley Walsh, Mandip Gill, and Tosin Cole!
  • This season will be unlike previous seasons because it won’t have a companion that The Doctor meets along their journeys like Bill Potts (Pearl Mackie), Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman), or Rose Tyler (Billie Piper).
  • The Doctor is portrayed by Jodie Whittaker, who succeeded Peter Capaldi in 2018. The other cast members for the show are Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole, and Mandip Gill as new characters Graham O’Brien, Ryan Sinclair, and Yasmin Khan.

THE PLOT:

Doctor Who is a British science-fiction television program produced by the BBC since 1963 that features an alien Time Lord called The Doctor who travels through time and space in his TARDIS. Chris Chibnall says that the Doctor will be in a different place this year and it’s not all doom or gloom.

He also promises that while they are trying to do something new, there is still enough of what fans know about. there will be adventures with both old and new as well as a whole new team.

Doctor Who follows the adventures of an eccentric and time-traveling individual known as “the Doctor”, whose extensive lifespan means that he has witnessed several historical events firsthand, from meeting Leonardo da Vinci to being present at various points in Earth’s future. The show usually features a female companion who shares his travels; for most of the show’s history, these companions have been humans.

The Doctor has also traveled on his own, and there have occasionally been multiple Doctors in different incarnations simultaneously either at the same time or across a series of episodes. “What draws us into that world of storytelling? What are those stories about?” “It was our ambition with The Day Of The Doctor to show that the Doctor had more lives than a cat and to give each of those incarnations their due.

CHRIS CHIBNALL ON FILMING OF DOCTOR WHO SEASON 13:

The episodes will be filmed in Wales, England, and Spain for the first time with Doctor Who co-executive producer Matt Stevens as director of photography. The Executive Producer is Chris Chibnall (Broadchurch) who has written eleven episodes since he started writing for the show in 2012.

“The show is filming now and will be airing this coming Fall. It’s a new era for the Doctor as she leaves her old life behind to explore time and space.” We guess people liked it because there really is something for everyone in all 53 years, from William Hartnell right up to Peter Capaldi.”

EXPECTATIONS:

“We can’t wait for you to see what the Thirteenth Doctor and Chris Chibnall have in store,” said Ashleigh Naghten, Head of Press at BBC Studios. “The next era of this incredible show starts on Sunday night together with a time-traveling adventure, a present-day drama. We only have one season left of Doctor Who with the current incarnation played by Peter Capaldi. it’s going to be an emotional farewell after four years on the show.
