Sony is finally ready to release Kraven the Hunter into their cinematic universe, and they are taking their time with it. Instead of just throwing a film out there that could be bad or something audiences don’t want to see, Sony is taking its time with this project. Plot Summary and Story Details of “Kraven: The Hunter”

In terms of “Kraven the Hunter’s” plot and narrative, writer Richard Wenk has spoken about the story being largely inspired by “Kraven’s Last Hunt”, arguably the biggest and most dynamic Kraven story from the comics and featuring an epic showdown with Spider-Man.

In an interview with the Discussing Film podcast, Wenk has said that he’d liked to see Kraven and the Webslinger coming face-to-face in the film: “I think that where we’re all circling is that this is Kraven’s Last Hunt, and whether this is the precursor to that movie, whether it will include it, we’re talking about those things.”

The Story will be such that we will meet Spiderman’s foe Kraven the Hunter in a way we’ve never seen him before, and he’ll be hunting Spidey. Moreover, we will see that this is the origin story of Kraven.

Kraven will be hunted by Spider-Man and in turn, tries to find out who he really is, but this time it’s a human spiderman, not an alien one, so Kraven has the disadvantage from what we know.  The hunter becomes the hunted as Kraven becomes obsessed with capturing Spider-Man.”

Release Date of “Kraven: The Hunter”

Kraven the Hunter is slated for release on January 13th, 2023. This means that production will most likely begin either at the end of 2021 or early the following year in 2022. Kraven will be directed by J.C. Chandor (who also directed Netflix’s Triple Frontier), with the script coming from Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, and Richard Wenk.
