You can’t keep a good showdown, apparently. The season four release date for “FBI” has been announced, and we’re already on pins and needles waiting to find out what happens next. FBI is a crime drama show that follows the work of an elite team that is tasked with investigating cases across America. Season one of “FBI” debuted in September 2018 and ran until the following May, with a total tally of sixteen episodes.

The show is produced by Universal Television and ABC Studios. Filming for the first season began in the late summer of 2018, with filming expected to continue until late 2021.
THE PLOT:
In the latest season of “FBI,” Rossi is on a hunt for an elusive serial killer known as The Puppeteer, who’s responsible for several death-defying attempts at revenge. The plot centers around the fictional Chicago-based Federal Bureau of Investigation office. In the last season of “FBI,” Rossi and his colleagues investigate a series of ritualistic killings that lead them to discover an underground cult.
Season One of “FBI” was based on the book “The Last True Rebellion” by former Special Agent John F. Kelly and co-author Doug Mertz, as well as stories from current FBI Agents across the country. The series follows Josh Rossi (Mantegna), who, after a stint in the Army, joined the FBI and showed an aptitude for profiling.
He is teamed up with Supervisory Special Agent Kate O’Hare (De La Garza), whose stellar career was sidelined by two divorces, which left her raising her children as a single mother. Together they catch some of the most notorious criminals.

The show stars Joe Mantegna as Special Agent Josh Rossi (with his real-life daughter Gia Mantegna portraying Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Sinclair), Alana De La Garza as Supervisory Special Agent Kate O’Hare, Ebonée Noel as Special Agent Marti Parris, and Jeremy Sisto as Senior FBI Analyst David Sinclair.
