I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am for Netflix’s upcoming series, The Punisher. Frank Castle is one of my favorite characters, and this show looks amazing from the trailer. I’m thrilled that Daredevil himself will be absent for a season and we’ll get to see how Frank Castle comes back from his devastating war experiences.Â
The show stars Jon Bernthal as the lead role, and he brings so much intensity and depth that it’s hard not to believe anything could get in his way as he embraces his vigilante crusade against crime.

So it’s not just me who feels this? A lot of the people want to see a Punisher series without Daredevil and so we can see the Punisher do some real good. And I feel that Frank Castle is more than enough to carry his show, he’s a complex character and Bernthal portrays him perfectly. I literally cannot say anything bad about Punisher, the few things I have come across were nitpicks and were entirely personal opinions.

When is this series coming out and how many episodes will it have?
As of now, Netflix hasn’t announced an official release date for the series. However, according to IMDb, the first season will be available by February 17, 2022.Â
Netflix hasn’t revealed how many episodes there will be in season 1 yet. But they’ll likely follow the same format as other Marvel shows on Netflix: 13 episodes in the first season, with 10 episodes each season after that. If they keep to this format, there will probably be around 20 episodes in total over two years between seasons 1 and 2.
What can we expect from the series ‘Fistful of Vengeance’?
The show will pick up some years after the events of the previous movie, with Frank Castle now working as a vigilante in New York City. He has just gotten out of a psychiatric hospital and is trying to leave his past behind him.Â
At some point, he crosses paths with Billy Russo, who goes by the name “Jigsaw” and runs a mafia syndicate. Their paths will likely cross again at some point over this season, but we don’t know just yet how that plays out or if we get any kind of explanation as to why Billy is so interested in Frank or what his motivations may be.

Jon Bernthal is cast to play the lead role in Fistful of Vengeance. He will be playing Frank Castle. Jon Bernthal is an American actor, who is best known for his work on Shane Walsh on The Walking Dead.
As for the role of Punisher, Billy Russo is a character that has already been played once by Ray Stevenson in Punisher: War Zone. This time, Ben Barnes will be portraying Billy Russo under the name “Jigsaw”. Ben Barnes is a British actor who has had roles in many television shows and movies, like Cooties and The Big Short. He’ll be getting to play a darker character this time around.

Will Punisher be back to back again with Daredevil?
The show will be released without Daredevil as it will be based on the standalone series of Punisher. Netflix’s Marvel series The Punisher will star Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, Ben Barnes as Billy Russo and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Micro and the first season of the show will consist of 13 episodes.
