The George of the Jungle series is a show that combines anthropomorphic animals and wild adventures in an action packed three-dimensional world. The show has been adapted into a movie, a Broadway musical, and even games. This made it one of the most popular series to adapt. However, if you want to know the right way to adapt cartoon action, you must understand what makes cartoon action work so well as an adaptation format by understanding which elements are essential for success. To do this we’ll have to break down what makes George such a compelling character for audiences when he is on screen as well as how his own plotline works in order to explore why adaptations fail and how they succeed instead.  The best way to do so is by looking at the history of the character from his earliest inception to his eventual movie incarnation.

As with any adaptation, the best place to begin is with what we already know. George is a protector of animals and he serves as a jungle guide as well as aide-de-camp to Tarzan. He has superhuman strength, physical endurance, and is an expert in martial arts, boxing and acrobatics.

What inspired the director to write George of the Jungle series?

The series is inspired by the movie of the same name. This is also credited to being one of the first productions split into two parts because it allows other forms of media such as televisions and DVDs to be able to adapt it without having to wait years between new releases. The director was also inspired by the fun and adventure of the original concept and how it complements a modern audience.

Does George of the Jungle series have live action?

No, it is animated only. It has a concept similar to Disney’s Jungle Cubs were young versions of characters come to live in an animated world. The series will be a mix between the calm and serene lives animals lead in the jungle and their excitement when people visit. The show had some issues with funding during its production phase because of a studio fire that destroyed much of Walt Disney Studios as well as some personal issues with its director which caused them to skip several deadlines for release.

Does this show have connections to other series?

It is because it is a spinoff of another series called Jungle Cubs which had been in development for some time before George of the Jungle. Eventually, George’s wife Ursula gave up on waiting for him and married the American pilot Jeff (who is also known as “Crocodile-Jeff”), and had a son named George Junior who, as his name suggests, inherited many traits from his father.
