Ginny & Georgia is an American comedy-drama television series created by Sarah Lampert that was released on Netflix. The story follows Ginny and Georgia, two politically-active sisters in the 1990s.  The show is set in New York City and takes place when female politicians were just starting to be elected into office. The story starts with Ginny and Georgia running for president as siblings on a feminist platform in order to find their mother who has gone missing after being a victim of domestic abuse. The show also focuses on other issues during this period such as women’s right to choose, LGBT rights, sexual harassment, and more. The show is based on the sisters’ childhood experiences.
