Homecoming Season 3 will be released on September 25, 2022. It is expected to have six episodes and one special homecoming episode that features the cast reuniting for a celebration at Alex’s (Julia Roberts) house in West Covina. Laura Dern also returns as an executive producer! While we don’t know all of the details, we do know the following.
About Homecoming Season 3:
The critically acclaimed Amazon Prime original series Homecoming is based on the fictional podcast of the same name. The show follows Heidi Bergman (Julia Roberts), a caseworker at an experimental facility, home to four interesting patients who have difficult pasts and are in need of her care. Homecoming is a psychological thriller starring Julia Roberts and directed by Sam Esmail. The show will feature an original score composed by Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot) who also scored the first two seasons of Mr. Robot along with Jeff Russo (Legion).
Release Date of Homecoming Season 3:
The release date for 3rd season of Homecoming has not been announced yet, but it is expected to be on screens in 2022.
Production of Homecoming Season 3:
The series was created by Eli Horowitz, Micah Bloomberg, Russ Willing, Sam Esmail, and Julia Roberts. It was originally set to be an Amazon original series before being acquired by Prime Video’s streaming rival, Netflix.
Filming:
It is currently unknown whether filming will take place in Los Angeles or New York City with most of the filming for season one taking place in South Brunswick, New Jersey.
Awards:
The series was nominated for the Golden Globe award in 2018. It was also honored with a Peabody Award, which recognizes distinguished and meritorious public service by broadcasters, cable outlets, producing organizations, and individuals. The series received critical acclaim, becoming one of the most awarded original dramas on Netflix. It was nominated for 23 Emmys in its first season, winning two Golden Globe Awards and eight Primetime Emmy awards including Outstanding Drama Series.

In the first week of its release, “Homecoming” was viewed by over ten million households. Within a month, this number increased to more than thirteen million homes. By October 2018, it had been streamed for nearly half a billion hours worldwide with an average viewing session lasting two hours and 47 minutes. As of October 2018, “Homecoming” has earned nearly $40 million in revenue.

The Plot:
In Homecoming, Heidi Bergman (Roberts) is a caseworker at the Homecoming Transitional Support Center, a Geist Group facility helping soldiers transition back to civilian life. Walter Cruz (Emmerich) is one of these soldiers, eager to begin the next phase of his life. Overseeing Heidi and the facility is Colin Belfast (Spacek), an ambitious company man whose manic demands point to questionable motives.
Four years later, Heidi has started a new life, living with her mother (Tomei) and working as a small-town waitress, when a Department of Defense auditor (Whigham) comes to her with questions about why she left the Homecoming facility. Heidi begins to realize that nothing about her life is what it seems, and soon her suspicions lead her to a shocking conspiracy.

Rotten Tomatoes: 100% (Critics) 57% (Audience) Critic Consensus: Julia Roberts is magnetic as the titular Homecoming, and her chemistry with Sissy Spacek’s Gloria ensures that it remains compelling. User Ratings: 1162 likes, 14 dislikes Metacritic.
Expectations:
we expect that Homecoming Season will continue to be as good as the first season. We also believe that Julia Roberts is a great cast for this series and it helps that she has chemistry with Shea Whigham, who plays Walter Cruz. According to the show’s IMDb page, Homecoming is a thriller drama. We are not quite sure what this means at all and we have never heard of it before which could either be good or bad based on whether or not you like things that are new to you.
