Killing Eve was once a great show. It had interesting characters, a captivating plot, and great acting. But the last few episodes have been a total betrayal of what made Killing Eve so good in the first place.
The writers seem to be more interested in creating shock value than telling an interesting story. Even when the plots aren’t predictable, they are still bland. They seem to be trying to get viewers by shocking them with the murders, but that doesn’t work anymore.
Killing Eve used to have a one-legged killer and a cat, but now it has a tracheotomy specialist who is also a mother and an assassin who is also an idol. I know I am in the minority in my criticism of this show because everybody else seems to really really love it, but I think that their praise of the show was artificially inflated by their praise of Killing Eve’s pilot episode.

The plot of the series is that Women are dealing with a great deal of sexual harassment and abuse. This show uses Bodies to tackle the subject matter in a way that is engaging and entertaining without being controversial. The main character of the series is an MI5 agent named Eve who is searching for a serial killer that takes on different forms depending on their victims’ gender, age, or race.
My favorite part of the Killing Eve show is the ensemble cast. The actors really had a chance to shine in this one. Comer, Rigg, and Shaw were all spectacular as our three main characters. There was enough drama on their own without the help of supporting cast members, but they also did a great job with their roles.
The friendship between Carolyn and Villanelle was also something that needed to be explored more deeply than it was in this series. I would have liked to have seen more background on them as friends instead of being skipped over for more time devoted to the main cast’s dysfunctional relationships or Carolyn’s obsession with Villanelle or her husband’s cocaine-fueled mania.
Eve. There is no way that Villanelle would be capable of the crimes that she is accused of, especially since she is a woman. The murder of the child plumber was a standout case for me, because Villanelle knows that she is killing a man, but not that she’s murdering a child.
If it is Eve who commits these murders, then there is no way that she would have committed the murder of her best friend. Eve was devastated over the murder of her friend and couldn’t even tell her husband about it. Villanelle murdered her best friend to satisfy an addiction to revenge. She needs to be behind bars and punished severely for what she has done.
Villanelle will live. This show is called Killing Eve and not Eve Polastri Tries to Stop Villanelle from Killing Again. The series will end with either the death of Eve or the death of Villanelle, but I’m going with killing Eve.
She is the protagonist after all, and though I like Villanelle, that does not mean that she should get a free pass for all of her murders. Villanelle needs to be punished because she has committed some really horrific crimes. If it was up to me, then I would have Villanelle go to prison and have Eve take care of her child while she’s behind bars.
They will end up together. There has to be some sort of happy ending here. And I don’t think that it would be a good ending if they killed each other off. Both characters have made it pretty clear how badly they want each other at this point, and I think that if one of them were killed, viewers would not take it very well.
My favorite character in the Killing Eve series is Konstantin Polastri. He has such a sad story, but one that is so understandable at the same time. He is a man who has been neglected by his mother and his wife for years and he has indulged in extreme violence because of it. He is a sympathetic character because of that.
