M Night Shyamalan’s cabin-related apocalyptic home invasion horror film Knock at the Cabin has fans excited. The director has a penchant for presenting ordinary stories with unusual supernatural twists and the upcoming film is no different. A trailer released during San Diego Comic-Con last month revealed a poster that read “Knock at the Cabin,” which was signed by director M. Night Shyamalan.  The art, created by artist Nicholas Keprios, is a reference to the old film noir poster art of the same name and is meant to bring out that old-style feel in modern audiences. The onscreen tagline for Knock at the Cabin reads: “Sometimes, you have to knock on the door.” This one-word premise could be interpreted in many ways, so it’s nice that Shyamalan made it as ambiguous as possible for audiences to imagine what exactly he means.

When is Knock At The Cabin releasing?

This film is scheduled to be released on 3 February 2023. Knock at the Cabin also places a family at the center of a thriller. Although certain plot points have been withheld from the audience before release, the upcoming film will also feature a caring family faced with a world-ending event that threatens their lives. The family’s characters range from an elderly grandfather with a penchant for baking meatloaf to a granddaughter who helps her elderly grandmother cope with difficult dementia.

While most of the remaining plot details are being kept under wraps, director M. Night Shyamalan has teased that Knock at the Cabin will have a different style than the usual apocalyptic family saga. He claims that it “will be something people have never seen before.”

What can we expect from the Knock At The Cabin?

We can expect a thriller full of surprising twists, cliches, and over-the-top scenes that leaves us wondering if it’s all going to end well or not. Director M. Night Shyamalan has a lot of potentials to do great things with his upcoming film. With the trailers released so far, he certainly seems up to the task of concocting an intriguing story around a situation that could easily be resolved with common sense and a blunt instrument (which also wouldn’t be out of place in this kind of story). Fingers crossed we’ll have something great to look forward to next year!

Who are the director’s favorite characters and why?

The favorite character of the director is Leonard Rupert Grint from London, England. M. Night Shyamalan chooses him as his favorite character because he’s able to understand the character and find a way to make the audiences feel for him and be emotionally involved in his story.
