The series also has lead actor, Leslie Bibb as Charlotte Lovell and comedian Punkie Johnson who will be joining the cast of season two in her first lead role on TV. “Punkie is an ideal fit for what we’re looking to do with this character,” co-creator Mandy Moore said about casting Punkie in the lead role.
When asked if it was her goal of making people laugh or make sense of all things crazy happening around them, she replied: “It’s really more just wanting to explore things that I find interesting.” “No one wants their ex to have anyone better than me so they never leave,” says Punkie when talking about how she handles being done with someone.
“When I lead with my comedy, people feel safe and welcome,” Punkie says when talking about her stand-up persona that is very different from the softer one she uses in Love Life. – The lead cast of season two includes Leslie Bibb as Charlotte Lovell (Punkie’s mother), John Earl Jelks as Lloyd Williams, Arian Moayed as Mohsen Kazemi, Anya Monzikova playing Nadia Haddadi (John’s fiancée).
