The Starring Cast:

  • The original cast members are all set to return, including Tom Ellis,
  • Lauren German, and
  • DB Woodside.
  • They will be joined by new cast members for the final installment of Lucifer season six – including Charlyne Yi (Claws),
  • Lina Esco (Kingdom) and
  • Nicky Whelan (The Wedding Ringer).

The Plot:

The final installment of season six will open up with Lucifer’s mother, Charlotte (Tricia Helfer), returning to Hell and teaming up with him on a mission. While that is happening, Amenadiel (DB Woodside) will be in search of his son – which he believes has died.

Lucifer Morningstar (Ellis) is enjoying his life on Earth, running a nightclub and helping LAPD Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). Then he gets an unexpected visit from Maze, who tells him that their old pal Beelzebub has been freed. With this new development in place, it’s a race against time before the entire city of Los Angeles is destroyed. The show has a well-written plot and follows a promising direction in its final season.

With Tom Ellis at the helm, many are expecting this show to be a big success. Critics have praised his performance in particular and say that he has made Lucifer one of television’s most enjoyable characters. The reviews have been very positive, and the show’s rating on Rotten Tomatoes has increased with each new season. The viewership also keeps growing year after year, which begs the question.

So far, the show has been averaging a score of 70% on Rotten Tomatoes. Lucifer season six premiered on October 16th, 2018, to a total of 0.82 million viewers and a 0.30 demo rating, which is slightly better than season five! It was renewed for its final installment in May 2019 by Fox with an order of 16 episodes instead of the usual 22-episode run it’s had so far.

The final season will not start airing until January 2022, which is a bit of a bummer as we fans were hoping for another fall release like the previous seasons. So far, FOX has been releasing one episode per week, and there’s still no news on how many episodes we’ll end up getting in total.
