The first season of the TV series focused on the employees of a company called Monsters, Inc. and their adventures in getting power to scare children. Season two will continue this plot by focusing on what happens after Mike and Sulley succeed in reviving headquarters from its derelict state.

The plot of the TV series is similar to that of the movie Monsters Inc. The plot focuses on two monsters working at a power company called Monsters, inc. However, instead of scaring children, they provide them with energy by generating it through screams captured from sleeping kids in their homes.
Release date:
The release date for the second season of the Monsters at Work has not been announced yet, but it is expected to be on screens in 2022.

Production:
Randall’s plot left Monsters, Inc. in shambles, so it will be interesting to see how the production of season two is handled. The most logical choice is that the same crew from Monsters University will return, but maybe this time they’ll have a more positive attitude toward leaving children’s bedrooms intact! The plot of the second season will likely be produced by Pixar, just as they did for Monsters University. However, it is uncertain whether or not Disney XD will continue to air this series.
Renewal Status:
If the ratings stay close to those seen for Monsters University, then Disney XD I will likely renew this series. However, it is possible that they might not continue if there are concerns about viewership numbers or continued interest in the plot of season two.
The Plot:
The monsters at Work plot will likely be a bit different from the plot of Monsters University. In season one, Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are trying to become members of their new company, Monsters, Inc. The plot for this series is still being kept under wraps, but it’s certain that we’ll see more adventures together with these two characters.
The plot of season two revolves around how Sully and Mike are able to repair all of the damage that Randall did to their company. The plot is not about a grand adventure, but it’s going to be the story of how Mike and Sully will have to work together in order to prevent Randall from destroying them both.
The Starring Cast:
There were also speculations about the plot of season two, and some rumors stated that Mike might leave his job in Monsters, Inc., but this is not true anymore because he will be back at work on the second season.
In order to take up the plot for season two, new cast members will be needed. Pixar has not yet announced who these actors will be, but we can expect them to play characters similar to those seen in Monsters University, such as Fungus and Roz.
Reviews:
So far, critics have not released their opinions about the plot or cast for season two of Monsters at Work. However, we can expect that they will be similar to those seen in Monsters University since this is an animated children’s show. Pixar has never been disappointed with its sequels (Monsters Inc).
Expectations:
It is expected that season two of Monsters at Work will be as successful as the first.
